Delaware, OH

Delaware, OH was founded in 1808 and named for the Delaware tribe even
though the city was founded on a Mingo village called Pluggy’s Town. The Delaware downtown is a vibrant epicenter of the city which boasts the Strand Theatre and nearly 20 restaurants. Boutiques, antique shops, bookstores, record shops, cycling stores, salons and pre-prohibition style bar dot the downtown area.

Delaware is also home to Ohio Wesleyan University, located right in the heart of Delaware. Ohio Wesleyan enrolls nearly 2,000 students from 40 states and more than 50 countries and is among the top 80 liberal arts colleges in the US.
